DEAR_USER
A friendly welcome to our May 2018 Newsletter.
We are happy to address the endoscopic approach to bariatric and metabolic surgery, as a sequel to our April publication which tackled the laparoscopic and robotic approaches. This month, we are highlighting endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG), an emerging therapeutic strategy, reflecting on the new evolutions and trends of bariatric surgery. Discover our selection of authoritative lectures and live uncut video cases authored by world-renowned experts in the field.
In addition, we are delighted to release a special focus on wrist arthroscopic surgery, a field of interest which also has its importance at IRCAD among the wide range of educational programs offered.
For our arthroscopic surgeons, a range of surgical approaches to different wrist and thumb conditions, will be outlined with a selection of instructional videos and lectures. It has been 13 years since the European Wrist Arthroscopic Society (EWAS) organized regular courses at IRCAD. These courses have met an international success never denied, and always increasing! Thanks to them, and to the fruitful exchanges we have developed with, not only experts worldwide but also all participants, themselves confirmed surgeons, the understanding and treatment of wrist injuries have leapt forward over the last decade (Professor Christophe Mathoulin, Founder and Chairman of EWAS Teaching Committee).
Explore our WeBSurg Hall of Fame update with international video contributors specialized in general, digestive, and endoscopic surgeries.
Many thanks for your support and devotion. We hope that we are allowing you to make the best of your learning experience on WeBSurg.
Your feedback is always appreciated.

May 30 - June 1, 2018
26th International Congress of the EAES, London, UK
As new surgical techniques continue to evolve, the use of flexible endoscopy is increasingly important for surgeons. Modern digestive surgery needs leaders with endoscopic skills that are well defined. Common sense suggests that the surgeon who loses the opportunity to learn surgical endoscopy will soon disappear.
This EAES hands-on course presents a unique opportunity for surgical residents, fellows and practicing surgeons to learn the basic endoscopic skills required to form a foundation in the practice of flexible endoscopy and to be exposed to cutting edge techniques such as ESD, POEM, endoscopic suturing, and ERCP.
Join the future of minimally invasive surgery - Join EAES Flexible Endoscopy Hands-on course for Surgeons (St Mary's Hospital, London, June 2, 2018).
