Our February issue is entirely dedicated to a special focus on bariatric and metabolic surgery including 13 authoritative lectures and 6 live interactive surgeries taken from the Advanced Course in Laparoscopic and Endoluminal Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery, held at IRCAD France in December 2016.

THIS MONTH'S FOCUS ON
Laparoscopic and Endoluminal
Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery


This month, we have 13 new lectures and 6 live interactive surgeries by world-renowned experts.

Some lectures and live video surgeries demonstrate current conventional bariatric procedures such as sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and gastric banding performed by J Himpens (Belgium), K Higa (United States), M Suter (Switzerland), B Dillemans (Belgium), and A Cardoso Ramos (Brazil).

Other lectures and live videos feature new pioneering endoscopic endoluminal bariatric procedures. It includes endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, duodenal mucosal resurfacing, aspiration therapy, and lively think tank discussions about the endoscopic therapeutic strategies for severe complications after a sleeve gastrectomy. Demonstrations are given by G Lopez-Nava (Spain), E Machytka (Czech Republic), M Galvao Neto (Brazil), JM Chevallier (France), and G Donatelli (France).

In order to show our appreciation to our loyal members who have contributed to diversifying the content of WeBSurg, we are excited to run a WeBSurg special HALL OF FAME.

Videos received from contributors are constantly evaluated during a given time period, which will end in July 2017.
Specific criteria, including image quality (High-Definition standards), scientific and educational relevance, number of views, will be evaluated. The contributors who win the challenge will be offered a special insert in the WeBSurg monthly Newsletter, covering their achievements and expertise in a given field of minimal access surgery. The winners will also be rewarded with a special surprise. Stay tuned!

MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY CONGRESS
