Opening ceremony of the IRCAD Brazil

The IRCAD Brazil is no longer a project, it has become a reality. The opening of the IRCAD Brazil took place on July 9, and was attended by Dr. h.c. mult. Sybill Storz, General Manager of KARL STORZ GmbH & Co. KG., Latin American education senior officials, Covidien representatives, Brazilian and French politicians including Arnold Munnich, health advisor to French President Nicolas Sarkozy, and Roland Ries, French Senator and Mayor of Strasbourg.

All courses held at the IRCAD-Brazil will be organized similarly to the ones held at the IRCAD-France and IRCAD-Taiwan, under the scientific supervision of Professor Jacques Marescaux and his team, along with IRCAD's international Faculty.

Thanks to our exceptional partners (HOSPITAL DE CANCER DE BARRETOS) and to the leadership of Henrique Prata and his team, the project will undoubtedly be highly successful.
