Visit of French President Nicolas Sarkozy at IRCAD

Four months after his election, French President Nicolas Sarkozy visited the IRCAD Institute (Research Institute against Digestive Cancer) on the 6th of September under the guidance of Professor Jacques Marescaux, President of the Institute. Theme of the visit: Research, Innovation, Robotics and New Surgical Technologies, Competitivity Pole. On this occasion, President Min-Ho Huang was introduced to President Nicolas Sarkozy who discovered the ASIA-IRCAD project, IRCAD's "twin" training and research center which will be inaugurated in May 2008 in Taiwan.

New exclusive content in N.O.T.E.S. for all EATS members and those to be!

The outstanding success of the NOTES course that took place last May has encouraged us to adjust our educational targets. We will therefore have the pleasure to organize 4 new courses on NOTES at IRCAD-EITS in 2008 and look forward to welcoming you on those occasions. This month sees the release of new key presentations of the NOTES course for our EATS members and those to be.

A new series of expert opinions, and lectures have been published on the EATS website. If you are not yet a member of the EATS and wish to have full access to all the educational material on NOTES, an annual symbolic fee of 10 euros* payable online (www.eats.fr) is all it takes!
*in compliance with Article 5 pursuant to the status of the EATS Association.

Boost in EATS memberships!

The original and exclusive content that is delivered by the EATS to its members has greatly contributed to the rapid success of the association with more than 700 subscribers in less than 3 months. Indeed, the web site is the only one so far to offer dynamic resources such as videos and expert debates.
