Discover our November special MONTHLY FOCUS on LAPAROSCOPIC GENERAL SURGERY with a selection of comprehensive lectures and videos, captured from our latest IRCAD "Laparoscopic General Surgery" intensive IRCAD course (July 3-7, 2017).

Enjoy the highlights of this academic CME program and immerse yourself in the scholarly IRCAD atmosphere as if you were there.

Learn the basic principles of laparoscopic general surgery, skills training, equipment and instrumentation through a medley of live interactive surgeries, some performed on-site and others broadcasted live from Seoul (South Korea), and lectures given during theoretical sessions.

Explore our WeBSurg Hall of Fame update with international video contributors demonstrating upper and lower GI surgeries.

In addition, the essentials of laparoscopic pelvic floor anatomy required to perform pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence surgery are outlined for gynecologic surgeons.

Many thanks for your support and devotion. We hope that we are allowing you to make the best of your learning experience on WeBSurg.

1st International Conference on Sublobar resections for lung cancer, Montsouris Institute, Paris, France

The penetration of sublobar resections within the thoracic surgeons community is increasing. But most agree the optimal benefit of parenchyma sparing surgery is obtained when procedure are carried out via thoracoscopy, whatever the technique (multiple ports, single ports, robotics.)... We also agree that the closed chest approach poses unique problems to surgeons. One of the reasons is the difficulty in understanding anatomical landmarks and comprehending the intersegmental plane. This is why all technologies contributing to an optimal preparation of the procedure are of major interest for surgeons, e.g. endobronchial navigation, mapping, 3D modelisation, rapid prototyping and 3D printing...

This video describes one of the several sublobar resection that will be discussed in detail at the first international conference on sublobar resections for lung cancer, January 11-12th.
