A friendly welcome to our January 2017 Newsletter. We would like to wish you a very Happy New Year.
To inaugurate the New Year together with our HD video upgrade, WeBSurg is proud to announce the creation of a new section on the website, called "How to".
The aim of this new section is to provide precise technical descriptions of surgical procedures performed by different authoritative operators with selected videos.
The very first theme we will tackle in this section will be the POEM technique, with our selection of videos authored by prominent experts such as Drs. S Perretta, H Inoue, J Ponsky, and L Swanström.
This January focus will incorporate key lectures and live interactive videos excerpted from the Advanced course in Minimally Invasive Esophago-Gastric Surgery, which was held at IRCAD France in 2016.
We are also extremely excited to announce the opening of a fourth IRCAD Institute in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in June 2017.
Our February focus will be on Laparoscopic and Endoluminal Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. Stay tuned!

OPENING OF A FOURTH IRCAD INSTITUTE
IN RIO DE JANEIRO IN JUNE 2017
After the creation of a first IRCAD institute in Brazil in the State of São Paulo in 2011, in partnership with the Hospital de Câncer of Barretos, the IRCAD will open a second mirror institute in Rio de Janeiro in June 2017. It will be built up against the gigantic Americas Medical City medical complex, and will be developed in close collaboration with United Health, the United States' largest health insurance, owned by Dr. Edson De Godoy Bueno.
