DEAR_USER

A friendly welcome to our March 2016 Newsletter.

Signature agreement: Dr. Edson Bueno and Prof. Jacques Marescaux

BREAKING NEWS
The IRCAD has teamed up with UnitedHealth, the most prominent healthcare insurance company to establish a third IRCAD training center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The inauguration is scheduled in 2017. Please click here for details. This new development confirms IRCAD's solid reputation of international excellence in the field of minimal access surgery. The IRCAD network gathers more than 800 opinion leaders connected with more than 320,000 WeBSurg members worldwide.

We are glad to dedicate this month's focus on hepatobiliary (HPB) surgery.

This March focus features a medley of HPB techniques including major laparoscopic hepatectomies on normal and cirrhotic livers and robotic left lateral sectionectomy. Single port resection of symptomatic liver cysts will also be tackled in this focus. Lectures, which were recorded during the New Perspectives in HepatoBiliary and Pancreatic surgery course at IRCAD France in December 2015, will feature world-renowned and experienced surgeons highlighting biliary tract difficult situations, bleeding complications after HPB surgery, and laparoscopic liver resection (from state-of-the-art up to surgical techniques).

Do not miss the second component of last month's topic which focuses on percutaneous nephrolithotomy and ureterorenoscopy, including recommendations for the use of laser.

Stay tuned to WeBSurg to discover our April focus on rectal surgery, and more particularly on TME for rectal cancer: combined Transabdominal and Transanal Techniques (TATA) and full NOTES Transanal TME (TaTME).

We hope that this month's publication will help you extend your knowledge and enhance your expertise. We would be keen on receiving your feedback, which will surely be considered. Please contact us here.
