DEAR_USER

A friendly welcome to our November 2015 Newsletter.

As you may have found out a few months ago, the WeBSurg team has reshuffled its monthly Newsletter layout and content distribution to provide you with an easy access to targeted contents on specific key topics through a set of THIS MONTH's FOCUSES. These monthly FOCUSES bring together surgical videos and the latest lectures, including video contributions submitted by an ever-increasing number of WeBSurg community members.

Another brand-new innovation: on December 4, 2015, WeBSurg will also launch the first ever IRCAD LIVE WEBINAR during the ADVANCED COURSE IN LAPAROSCOPIC AND ENDOLUMINAL BARIATRIC AND METABOLIC SURGERY, which will be held at the IRCAD in Strasbourg, France.

This webinar will be a live online educational session during which participating viewers and IRCAD on-site attendees can submit questions and comments to a panel of experts. The main focus of this webinar will be on GASTROJEJUNAL ANASTOMOSIS IN ROUX-EN-Y GASTRIC BYPASS (RYGB), an educational package available here for free on WeBSurg, which should probably raise a certain number of questions and comments that you may have.

This MONTH's FOCUS is on ESOPHAGOGASTRIC SURGERY further to the IRCAD advanced course in Digestive Surgery, which took place on October 15-17, 2015.

The minimally invasive approach is recognized as the gold standard in the treatment of several functional and benign esophagogastric pathologies. It has been validated only recently for the management of specific cancer stages, under the initiative of Asian teams which incorporate a great number of patients. This month's focus includes a range of original lectures and surgical videos on the laparoscopic treatment of esophageal and gastric cancers, hiatal hernias, and esophageal diverticula.

This MONTH'S TOPICS include pediatric surgery, with a focus on hernia and common bile duct surgery in children, skull base surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and gynecologic surgery.

Stay tuned to WeBSurg to discover our December's focus on technological breakthroughs.

We hope that this month's publication will help you extend your knowledge and enhance your expertise. We would be keen on receiving your feedback, which will surely be considered. Please contact us here.
