NEWSLETTER MAY 2015

DEAR_USER

A warm welcome to our May 2015 Newsletter.

The IRCAD is proud to announce the opening of a brand-new enhanced robotic surgical platform, which includes 7 da Vinci™ surgical robotic systems (10 consoles for co-piloting and simulation), dedicated to training.

After more than 15 years of R&D, the IRCAD team has implemented the Visible Patient program geared to promote image-guided surgery based on computer-assisted solutions. The goal is to make the patient visible during surgery through virtual transparency in order to increase the accuracy and safety of any procedure.
To reach such objectives, Visible Patient has created an original user-friendly online service for physicians requiring a bespoke 3D model of patients to effectively plan surgical therapy.

In addition, we are happy to announce that the construction works of the image-guided Institute (IHU), initiated by the IRCAD, are well underway and should be completed by early 2016. The IHU is dedicated to the surgical treatment of digestive pathologies using cutting edge hybrid image-guided equipment.
