去る5月26日, IRCAD (The Research Institute against Cancer of the Digestive Tract) は台湾ASIA IRCADの落成を盛大に行いました。本施設は台湾の秀傳記念病院（Show Chwan Memorial Hospital)とIRCADとの有益なパートナーシップのおかげで低侵襲手術の教育施設として台湾に新たに建設されました。このセンターはストラスブールのIRCAD-EITSと厳密に同等の科学的、技術的な質を提供するだけでなく、さらにアジアの中心として素晴らしいアクセスを有しています。

最新のテクノロジーと、敷地面積約7,300�uにもなるアジア最大規模の低侵襲手術トレーニング施設となります。(23 の実験用手術テーブルを擁します).

ASIA IRCADには２つの存在意義があります。
- 低侵襲または無侵襲外科における最高の質のトレーニングを提供する。

-新しい、コンピューターガイドやロボットアシストのテクノロジーを研究、発展させる。

最初の腹腔鏡一般外科の集中コースは2008年5月27日から30日にかけて行われました。IRCADのFacultyと国際的な専門家達によって組織されました。The very first course, an intensive course in laparoscopic general surgery, was held from the 27th to the 30th of May, 2008. It was organized by the IRCAD Faculty and International Scientific Committee. 本年中に６つのcolorectal、urological、gynaecological 、Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES), interventional digestive endoscopy techniques, and orthopedics.のコースが開催される予定となっています。
